Salary: £50,000

We are looking for an experienced individual with an excellent palate, to bring exciting new and innovative recipes to the UK as our new Director of Taste. You will be responsible for finding, then taste testing new exotic ingredients and recipes, which will be fed back and incorporated into our products.

Role & Responsibilities:

Traveling up to four months at a time across the world to countries such as India, China, Turkey, Chile, Mexico and Japan.

Explore, discover and try new plant-based ingredients and then feedback findings to us.

Help set up overseas partnerships to source the new ingredients you find.

Will be expected to work up to 35 hours a week with flexible working patterns available.

Full sick pay and 28 days holiday.

It’s important that the candidate is available and willing to be away from the UK for long periods of time.

Experiences:

Must be suitably qualified with at least three years’ experience in the food business or as a Chef.

Preferably a degree in Food Science or similar, however this isn’t mandatory.

(Despite the company being vegan focused, the candidate will not be required to be vegan, however they must focus on solely plant-based ingredients when working)

Shortlisted candidates will go through a rigorous interview process and be subject to a full background check. The chosen candidate will also be required to complete an in-house taste test to see if their palate is up to scratch.
